Duchenne Dash 2022
Imogen Buxton
What a weekend! A group of our LXA team made the incredible journey of cycling 300km from London to Paris in just 24 hours, helping to raise money for the charity Duchenne UK. Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy (DMD) is a genetic disease that causes muscle weakness and wasting, it is the most severe and common form of muscular dystrophy that almost aways affects boys, typically diagnosed in childhood between the ages of three and six. There is no current cure for Duchenne, but there is hope, with Duchenne UK being at the forefront of advancing treatments and caring for everyone affected by the disease. The Duchenne Dash over the past 10 years has helped to raise money for research and trials to try and cure this devastating disease, and these 140 riders this year have managed to raise an incredible £600,000 towards finding effective treatments. We’re immensely proud of our #TeamLXA that took part!
