LXA acted as Project Managers and Cost Consultants on this full refurbishment of the Grade II listed Prudential Assurance Building to create a state of the art event and entertaining space. Works involved sympathetic alterations to the existing building fabric along with the careful replacement of the complete building services and data infrastructure. A new theatre style kitchen and lavish dining facility were created in the basement vaults and a large new reception space to the ground floor. There were challenges dealing with the sheer scale and size of the old vault doors as well as working within the listed fabric to thread through new service routes and modern lighting whilst maintaining the tight construction programme.
