The Fairway Club: Building Trust Beyond Our Own Verticals

A simple observation

Across property, private banking, law and beyond, many of us in Dubai are advising the same ultra-high-net-worth clients and families. Yet we rarely get the chance to connect meaningfully across sectors.

Traditional networking tends to stay inside industries. Property people meet property people; bankers meet bankers. But the most valuable relationships, and the most trusted referrals, come from truly understanding how someone else works, who they serve and what they stand for.

That observation became The Fairway Club.

What The Fairway Club is

The Fairway Club is an invitation-only golf collective for women working with private clients across the GCC. It brings together women from property, private banking, law and related sectors, with a shared focus on quality over scale and depth of trust over transactional introductions.

At LXA, our number one priority is making sure our clients are looked after to the highest standard. We support local and international clients with trusted connections, and this network lets us broaden that reach. More importantly, it means the people we refer are people we know personally and trust completely.

Why golf?

Golf has long been a relationship-driven, male-dominated space, especially in corporate environments. We wanted to remove that barrier and make the game more accessible, more inclusive and, ultimately, more enjoyable.

There's also something about the format itself. A few hours side by side on a course creates time and space for real conversation, the kind of connection a drinks reception or a conference panel rarely allows.

Serving clients at this level

When you work with UHNW clients in a city like this, you cannot sit only within your own vertical.

Our clients don't just need a property advisor, a banker or a lawyer. They need someone they trust to connect them with the right people, whether that's a tax advisor, a project manager or a private chef for their newly finished home. Whatever it is, it needs to be done properly, and without wasting their most limited resource: time.

That is what The Fairway Club is really about. It's a network of women who understand this market, understand the calibre of client we each serve, and can refer to one another with complete confidence. Our job is to make sure our clients are always in safe hands.

How it's grown so far

Session one: the founding members. We brought together our founding members across aligned sectors. Roshina Khan led a thoughtful session on leveraging our strengths in the workplace, and set the tone for what this group could become.

Session two: onto the course. Our first session on the course, with two brilliant coaches and 10 women taking part, some of them stepping onto a golf course for the very first time.

Session three: finding our feet. Three sessions in, we were feeling considerably more comfortable on the course, and the conversations were getting deeper too. Corporate golf days with our male colleagues? We're coming for you.

Session four: back after the summer. We paused over the summer, when Dubai naturally gets a little quieter. With the heat still in full force, we took our comeback indoors to the simulators. Clients are returning, projects are pushing on, and despite the uncertainty across the region this year, there was very little hesitation in the room about the months ahead as Dubai moves into its busiest season.

More than the golf

What makes these sessions so valuable isn't the golf itself. It's having the time to properly get to know the people we work alongside: their businesses, their clients and where we can help each other.

Knowing exactly who you can confidently pick up the phone to when a client needs something outside your direct expertise is incredibly valuable, for us and, above all, for the people we serve.

Thank you

A huge thank you to Acoulite for sponsoring the series and backing the vision from the outset, and to ADF London for sponsoring our comeback session. Thank you also to every member who has joined us so far. Our founding members are shaping what comes next, and we're excited to see this community grow.
